Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Mike Lau, the developer of KKB ("KKB", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using KKB you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use KKB.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to consent where you live.
• Give accurate details, keep your password safe, and tell us if you think your account was accessed without permission.
• Usernames must not impersonate others or be offensive. We may reclaim or change usernames that break this rule.
• You're responsible for activity under your account.
• You can try KKB without an account. Guest accounts can't connect with other users or make purchases, and their data can't be recovered after signing out, uninstalling, or 60 days without opening KKB. Save your account (username, email and password) to keep it.

3. What KKB is — and isn't

• KKB records who paid and who owes what. KKB does not hold, send or collect money; you settle up with each other outside the app.
• Balances, reports, net worth figures, exchange rates and receipt scans are estimates to help you. Check important amounts yourself. Receipt reading (on-device or enhanced) can make mistakes.
• KKB is not a bank, lender, or financial, tax or legal adviser.

4. Your content

You own what you add — entries, photos and names. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run KKB, including showing a shared entry to the people in it. Only add other people's names and amounts you're entitled to share, and don't upload anything illegal, harmful, or that you don't have the right to share.

5. Acceptable use

Don't:

• use KKB to harass, threaten, defraud or spam anyone, or to record fake debts;
• try to access other people's data, probe or break our security, or overload the service;
• copy, reverse engineer or resell KKB, or use automated tools to scrape it.

Reporting and blocking

Names, usernames and profile photos must not be sexual, violent, hateful, or impersonate someone. If someone breaks these rules, tap ⋮ on their profile or connection request and choose Report or Block. Blocking ends your connection and stops them from finding you or sending you requests; you can unblock them in Account settings. We review reports and may remove content, reset a name or photo, or suspend accounts that break these terms.

6. KKB Plus and Remove Ads

KKB Plus (subscription)

• KKB Plus is offered monthly or yearly. The price is shown in the app and in your app store before you buy, in your local currency.
• Payment is charged to your Google Play or Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancel anytime in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) or on iPhone (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). You keep Plus until the end of the paid period.
• Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends; unused trial time is forfeited when you buy.

Remove Ads (one-time purchase)

• A single payment that turns off ads for your KKB account for as long as KKB offers ads. It doesn't include other Plus features. KKB Plus already includes no ads.

Both

• Purchases are tied to your KKB account. Use Restore purchases in the app if they don't appear on a new device.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their refund policies.
• We may change features or prices. Price changes for subscriptions take effect on a later renewal, after the notice your app store requires.

7. Ads

Free accounts see ads provided by Google AdMob. Ads are from third parties; we aren't responsible for advertisers' products or sites.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time (see our deletion page). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a store subscription — cancel it in your app store too.

9. Changes and availability

We work to keep KKB available but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If we change these terms in an important way, we'll tell you in the app; using KKB afterwards means you accept the updated terms.

10. Disclaimers and liability

KKB is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, for disagreements between users about money, or for decisions you make based on figures in the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
